The Plasencia family are certified OGs when it comes to the cigar game, growing premium tobacco in Honduras and Nicaragua today with roots back to the days in Cuba in 1865 before both our parents were even conscious thoughts. After years of putting cigar companies on their back and helping turn them into industry giants (Romeo Y Julieta, Rocky Patel, Alec Bradley, and Gurkha just to name a few), Plasencia has decided to stop being the supporting role in the movie and rise to become one of the main characters.
They say to always put your best foot forward.
The Plasencia 1865 Alma Fuerte line of cigars is Plasencia’s first foot in the door in releasing an ultra-premium line of Nicaraguan smokes. Typically, when I hear a product has coined the term “ultra-premium” or “pro” I find myself questioning what exactly makes it deserving of that high status name. That question doesn’t apply here.
The 1865 Alma Fuerte is a cross country tour of premium tobacco aged 10 years, across Nicaragua’s major tobacco growing regions. This cigar parades Criollo ’98 tobacco seed from Esteli, Condega, Jalapa, and Ometepe to deliver a punch of raisin, earth, wood, and black pepper in a full-bodied experience.
Take a walk with Plasencia 1865 Alma Fuerte and find out why these cigars are so highly rated.
